A COUNCIL housing estate was to be given a multi-million-pound facelift. The Galligreaves Estate, in Blackburn, would be overhauled and improved, thanks to an investment programme worth almost £8 million. The scheme, part of the Government's Estate Action programme, was announced by Environment Minister Robert Jones. The news was warmly welcomed by council leaders and residents.
