MOUNTED police held a display during a fun afternoon in Mercer Park, Clayton Le Moors.

A series of events have been drawn up by police, community workers and Hyndburn council, as part of a bid to beat crime and disorder in the area.

The fun days have been organised to give people something to do during the long summer holidays.

Earlier this year, police revealed drunks and vandals were causing misery for residents in and around Mercer Park and urged people to name and shame troublemakers.

The park and the nearby youth and community centre in Moor Street are playing host to events including sports, games and displays by police horses and dogs.
