A BUNDLE of red balloons awaited the Mayors of Preston and South Ribble as they popped into town for a balloon race to mark the opening of the first Virgin Active Life Centre, in Preston.
To celebrate the occasion in style South Ribble Mayor Margaret Smith (left) and Preston Mayor Geoff Swarbrick joined arms to release dozens of red balloons at the Capitol Centre club, Walton-le-Dale.
Each balloon represented the 3,500 members who have already signed up to join the innovative, 56,000 sq ft user friendly establishment.
