THE National Front threatened a rival rally at any planned Satanic Verses protest march in Blackburn.
Banner-waving NF supporters were to be bussed in from West Yorkshire and Greater Manchester branches to "heckle and boo" anti-Salman Rushdie protesters, the organisation claimed.
A Front spokesman said there could have been as many as 40 supporters turning out.
