THE area's most famous resident comedian, Jim Bowen, will perform to raise money for the RLI Macmillan cancer unit this month.

The variety show will be packed with acts apart from Jim Bowen and will be at The Dome on Sunday, September 26 from 7.30pm.

A good friend of Jim Bowen's died in the ward recently. The comedian promised to raise money after seeing the work staff did on the unit.

As well as the acts there will be 800 raffle prizes to be won. Tickets cost just £5 and are available from The Dome box office. Or you can call 412454 and ask for either Leo or Kate.
