FIREFIGHTERS were called to several rubbish fires in Maryport Close, Roman Road, Blackburn, last night.
The Fire Brigade has experienced a series of problems with vandals on the estate in recent months. Blackburn with Darwen Council is knocking down flats on Roman Road and vandals have been roaming the building site and setting fires.
Fire chiefs have already called for extra protection after crews called out to the estate were stoned by local youths.
