REGARDING 'Outrage at fuel 'victory'' (Letters, December 22) containing Sharon Robinson's vitriolic remarks, I feel she has done more damage to the cause of feminism in one letter than most people can accomplish in a lifetime.

If her experiences of life are confined to spending pennies in public loos or placing unmentionables in unmentionable places, then I feel truly sorry for her. But, please, do not put all the blame on the male genus. Men have their problems too, but we won't go into that!

The crux of the matter is that there are at present, about 20 other issues where there are unfair anomalies of an ageist or sexual nature and Miss, Ms or Mrs Robinson better pray that they are dealt with as fairly as the winter fuel issue, otherwise the alternative might have to be to raise the female age of qualification to 65, just like that of, dare I mention it, men!
