A HOLIDAY price war was expected to spell thousands of bargains for East Lancashire sun-seekers.
Going Places, owned by Rossendale-based Airtours, launched its own new year sale by offering discounts of up to 20 per cent on summer holidays abroad.
However, the firm warned that the biggest discounts would be available for "one week only".
