ONE of Leigh's architectural gems has regained its identity.

The Boar's Head, which stands proudly in Market Place opposite the Parish Church, has reverted to its proper title after a short spell under the Flitch and Firkin banner.

Sarah Meek, who runs the Carlsberg Tetley pub with partner Chris Warner, said: "We're reverting to a more traditional pub atmosphere aimed at a cross section of customers.

"We're serving food every day from noon to 6 and children are welcome with families."
