A depleted Crusaders side never recovered from a slow start. Playing against a big pack two-try hero and man of the match Gaz Friar was exceptional. He was very closely followed by James Burrows and Martin Catterall. Simon Dingsdale kicked two goals others playing well were Martin Bailey, John Cartwright, Ste Hand and Neil Molyneux.

Crusaders gave a fine team performance in this closely fought encounter. Points came from a try by Paul Eyres converted by Craig Dearden. In this high scoring match man of the match Matt Harris scored three tries and unsung hero Chris Kinsey scored two tries. Top tackler was Danny Hughes, coaches award went to Adam Broidy and most improved were Matt Jackson and Carl Forster.

Blackbrook Royals under sevens 24, Portico Panthers 6

Try scorers for Royals were man-of-the-match Adam Swift, top tackler Oliver Prescott, James Brown and Daniel Kellett. Wesley Lyon was most improved.
