WINNERS of a free draw organised by Blackburn College's Centre for European and Commercial Operations received their prizes at the Dunkenhalgh Hotel in Clayton-le-Moors.

Cheques for £500, £300 and £200 were provided by Blackburn Bridge Multimedia as an incentive for companies to fill in a questionnaire on e-business and workforce skills in the North West.

The questionnaire was compiled after the North West Development Agency and the European Commission announced that funding was available to investigate and support businesses who wish to become more conversant with the internet, workforce IT development and communication skills. First prize went to Waterworths Accountants. Blackburn College vice-principal Duncan Bloy presented second and third prizes to Buswell Machine Electronics and Bennett & Co Accountants.
