PUPILS at Lammack Primary School, Blackburn, were all eggcited as judges chose the winners of the 2000 Design and Technology egg decorating competition.

Jak Hargreaves, who designed a turtle and its eggs, was one of eight winners whose designs will be on display in Marks and Spencers Blackburn store for a week.

The competition was based on designing a millennium egg.

It was for pupils aged between eight and eleven.

The children had three weeks to prepare their designs at home before bringing them into school.

Judging the competition were Beryl Martin, from Blackburn Partnership, and Michelle Barnes, from Marks and Spencers, Blackburn.

The winners of each age group won an Easter egg. Prizes were supplied by the Parents' and Teachers' Association.
