THE annual 1,500 metres event at Barrow Long Distance SC was a major attraction for members of Howe Bridge Marlins.
And, up against swimmers from throughout the UK, first Marlin home in the ladies event was Lyndsey Entwistle.
She took second place with a great swim of 23mins 45secs; Helen Unsworth clocked 24:53.
In the men's event Charlie Entwistle completed the course in a PB 23:50, ahead of Mark Blewitt (25:06) and Graham Thompson (29:03).
The Marlins train at Howe Bridge on Thursdays (9.20pm) and Tyldesley on Saturdays (5pm). Everyone welcome.
