THE organisers of this year's Oswaldtwistle Carnival say the deadline for entering the carnival princess competition is May 3.
The competition is open to all primary school girls who either live or go to school in Oswaldtwistle.
The judging takes place on May 7 at Oswaldtwistle Conservative Club, Rhyddings Street. There will be prizes for 1st, 2nd and 3rd.
The winner will receive a crown and sash from 1998 princess Kimberley Bottomley and will ride in the procession with the carnival queen on June 17.
