VOLUNTEERS are needed to act as good neighbours to isolated or housebound older people in Darwen.
Age Concern is looking for recruits for its Caring Neighbourhood scheme. "We have six people who are waiting for a visitor," explained Christine Nuttall, volunteer co-ordinator.
"A commitment of only a couple of hours a week can really brighten up someone's life."
Volunteers are also need to help in the charity shop and office in Darwen. No experience is necessary. Details from Christine on 01254 664242, or go to the Age Concern office in Union Street.
