BLACKBURN Rovers are to wear black armbands for their game against Manchester City as a mark of respect for Peter White.
The Ewood board considered holding a minute's silence before the game, which starts at 1.30pm on Sunday.
But, in view of the highly-charged nature of the game, that was considered inappropriate.
Peter's funeral will take place on Friday at St Wulstan's RC Church, Rushton Street, Great Harwood, at 10am.
That will be followed by cremation at Accrington Crematorium.
