BOTH the north and southbound entry sliproads on to the M6 at Junction 33 (Hampson Green) will be closed at the beginning of this weekend for resurfacing.
The work is scheduled to start on Friday May 5 at 10pm and finish the following morning at 7am Saturday May 6.
Highways Agency Project Manager Nick Moreton said: "We will be carrying out this work at night in order to keep inconvenience to road users to a minimum but we do advise people to allow extra time for their journeys."
A signed diversion route via Junction 34 (Lancaster) will be in operation.
