THE writer J Robinson asks why Jack Straw won't send asylum seekers back home (Citizen, April 20).

The answer is simple. Jack Straw is like Michael Howard before him -- all talk and no action who, when the going gets tough, passes the buck like he did in the James Bulger case.

As long as people like Jack Straw and Michael Howard are around, this country will always remain a soft touch.

If such folk really were doing a good job, Britain wouldn't be in the state it is now.
