A LOCAL band are appealing to big-hearted Star readers to help them take part in an international concert in Germany
The Parr (Richardsons Ltd) Brass Band has 30 male and female members of all ages and over the last year they have competed in a number of concerts.
They hold regular practice sessions at Richardsons on Lancots Lane, Sutton and also have a junior band which is open to anyone wishing to learn how to play.
Following a recent promotion to the Brass Band Third Section, they have been asked to take part in a selection of concerts featuring brass bands from all over the world in Germany in August 2001.
Now they need to raise the money to pay for travel and accommodation. They are now calling on local businesses and individuals to help them out.
