A PROJECT offering free training in computing and care skills has been launched in Nelson.
The Faislabad Awareness Information Support and Learning Agency (FAISLA) is working in partnership with Nelson and Colne and Burnley colleges to encourage more people from the Asian community to become carers and to give disabled people the chance to learn basic computer skills.
Both courses will run at the FAISLA training centre at 76 Manchester Road, Nelson.
Project manager, Shabbir Ahmed, said: "By working in close partnership with the local community FAISLA aims to improve the morale, quality of life, and job prospects of young people living in the wards of Bradley and Whitefield."
Places are still available and anyone interested is asked to contact the centre on 01282 619464 between 10am and 2pm.
