I AM writing with regard to comments already made about the stewarding at the Manchester City game and the behaviour of City fans.

People seem to think that all that happened was a pitch invasion and outbreaks of fighting in the home areas.

I would also like to point out that the City fans penetrated all areas of the ground, taking it upon themselves to enter doors marked 'staff only' and use elevators to get into the executive lounge areas underneath the stand.

The head of stewarding should have anticipated early on in the game that this was likely to happen and taken immediate action by locking some of the doors that led from the stands into the centre of the ground.

I also think that a full written apology should be sent to the Rovers season ticket holders in the Walkersteel Stand who were moved by stewards out of their seats so that City fans, who had climbed over walls into the stand, could sit down.
