SHOPPERS' heads turned when they came face to face with a huge sculpture of a brain.
The sculpture entitled "Get A Head in Life -- Grey Matters" was created by the thoughtful contributions of people throughout the borough who took part in workshops during the Lifelong Learning Festival.
Local people worked with artists Charlotte Zunder, Kerris Casey St Pierre and Kerith Ogden from the Action Factory Community Arts to create the sculpture and the hundreds of thoughts for the day which are the brain within.
The sculpture was on display in Victoria Court, Blackburn. Kerith Ogden said: "We are what we know and by sharing ideas we learn something new.
"Learning is a lifelong experience and this festival organised by the Blackburn with Darwen Learning Partnership provided many opportunities for people to keep on learning."
