CIVILIANS and former servicemen enjoyed songs and sketches from the First and Second World Wars at King George's Hall, Blackburn.
The 'War Time Revue' matinee performance of songs, music and comedy was part of the week-long Somme Festival held in Blackburn to commemorate those who fought in the 1916 Battle of the Somme.
Some 235 soldiers from the 11th Battalion of the East Lancashire Regiment - better known as the Accrington Pals - were killed and 350 wounded in just 20 minutes on the Somme on July 1, 1916.
Other platoons from Burnley, Blackburn and Chorley also fought in the battle - one of the bloodiest episodes of the First World War.
Entertainers taking part included, pictured from the left, Peter Lindup, Betzee Clewlow, Steve King and Roy Chappell.
