YOUNGSTERS had a ball at their school's annual summer fair -- and raised money for charity on the process.
Pupils from Westholme Lower School, at Billinge House, Blackburn, enjoyed attractions such as a bouncy castle, a Punch and Judy and a magician, in the school's grounds on Wednesday, as well as a host of stalls and refreshments.
All proceeds from the day went to children's charities and the fair -- coupled with the donations from the kiddies allowing them to cast off their school uniform and adopt the fashion of their choice for the day -- helped realise more than £400.
Headteacher Stella Brassington said the day was a total success.
"It was a wonderful afternoon and all the children really enjoyed themselves."
Blackburn's World Superbike Champion was there with wife Michaela, as daughter Claudia attends the school, but the star attraction was a great big cuddly toy St Bernard which was the top prize in the raffle.
