IF you are looking for somewhere to entertain the children on Saturday July 29 without burning a huge hole in your pocket, then look no further than the Midsummer Meltdown.

Swinton Rugby League Club are staging the Northern Ford Premiership Grand Final at Gigg Lane, Bury on that day and as well as the action on the pitch there's a whole host of FREE entertainment on offer.

In conjunction with the Rugby Football League, the BURY TIMES are also running a competition with two pairs of tickets for the event as the prizes. Normal admission prices on the day will be £10 or £8 for adults and £5 or £4 concessions (juniors and OAPs).

Before the match, which kicks off at 2.30pm, from 12 noon on the Gigg Lane car park there will be a bouncy castle, an inflatable slide, dancers, clowns and face painters.

There will also be a Hollywood Bowl bowling alley with prizes and a Tower FM roadshow, complete with DJs, giveaways and competitions live on air.

On the pitch from 1.45pm there will be a Little League Under-8s rugby match, followed by a live pop band.

All this entertainment will be provided free or charge, but if you would like to be in with a chance of free admission to the match too, simply answer the following simple question: What was the name of Swinton's former ground?
