YOUNG dancers are performing a new musical about children's rights to raise cash for abused youngsters worldwide.
Thirty pupils aged eight to 17 from the Dorothy Bruce School of Dance are performing "Thursday's Child", based on the United Nations' Charter.
Five nameless concentration camp victims, only allowed to be known by their numbers, escape from imprisonment and travel around the world seeking the life they are entitled to.
On their way, they meet other young people on the way who are also denied their most basic rights. Dorothy Bruce has produced the show.
Margaret Boyle, of the dance school, said: "It's a very moving story which was written especially for Unicef. Every penny we raise will go to the charity."
The show opens at 7.15pm on Thursday and Friday at Oswaldtwistle Civic Theatre. For tickets call Margaret on 01254 382323 or from the information centre at Accrington Town Hall.
