THE thriving Bury Business Club is to hold its next meeting on July 27.

And an invitation has gone out for more prospective members to join.

At its last get-together, the club met at Downham Train Epstein (DTE) at Hollins, Bury.

But attendance was lower than usual due to the televised Euro 2000 soccer championship.

Those who did turn up, however, were rewarded with an object lesson in perseverance in self-employment by Brian Hunt of GDS Link.

And memorable techniques for breaking the ice in those "roomful of unknown people" situations were introduced by Amanda Dunn from Dale Carnegie.

Also speaking was Eve Davidson of Bury ISaware who gave details about the planned launch of a new business network initiative.

As always, the meeting concluded with lively conversations over coffee, following up members' presentation of their business earlier in the evening.

The Bury Business Club is an independent business support and networking forum for all local companies, especially smaller and sole trader concerns.

Membership is free and open to all and new faces and ideas are always welcome.
