BUSINESS is blooming for budding Bury firm Squirrel Manufacturing who, just last month, launched its wrapping products for the wholesale florist market.

The new Greenbrook Street-based company, which specialise in flexographic printing, is one of only four British firms to supply polypropylene wrapping to the florist industry.

And the company will keep on growing, because it is about to enter the paper wrapping market for roof felt later this year.

This will be followed by an exciting new launch to provide products for the automotive industry, which will open up major export opportunities.

Managing director Pat Kenyon, believes the story to the success of his flowering business is that it matches quality with customer service by offering speedy 24-hour delivery whenever necessary.

He added: "Our investment in state-of-the-art machinery is paying dividends in terms of quality and our designs are fresh and new."

It was just eight months ago that Pat walked into Bolton and Bury Chamber's Business Link with his ideas.

Since then, Business Link has helped him produce a robust plan for start-up growth, helping him gain finance including a £15,000 government grant and £52,000 from the Small Firms Loan Guarantee Scheme.

Pat said: "Eight months later, Business Link are still holding my hand and helping me keep business on target."
