LITTLE Bethany Quail was thrilled to be reunited with her pet kitten after it went missing from the family home.
Fourteen-month-old Bethany, of Whitendale Crescent, Blackburn, was upset after the kitten, which she named Gog, disappeared.
Bethany's mum Victoria Parkinson, 19, said the six-week-old kitten had wandered onto the playing field at Audley County Junior School behind their house and some children found it.
Victoria said the kitten, which was wearing a collar at the time, was then collected by the RSPCA, and was later taken to New Forge Kennels in Hapton.
Rebecca Lord, who is a partner at New Forge Kennels with George Connor, said: "We could not release the kitten until we had authorisation from the RSPCA, which we were given the following morning.
"The kitten was not wearing a collar or a disc when it was given to us, and it was not microchipped. If it had been, it could have been returned to its owners straight away."
