UNIBOND League rivals Accrington Stanley and Chorley will square up in the FA Umbro Trophy first round.

The derby clash on September 4 will be at Chorley's Victory Park but the hosts are likely to be the underdogs following Stanley's promotion to the Premier Division last season.

In the AXA FA Cup preliminary round, Ramsbottom United face a trip to Scotland to take on Gretna, Bacup Borough have an attractive home tie against UniBond League outfit Harrogate Town, while Clitheroe entertain Northern League Shildon.

Darwen also have a home tie against either Armthorpe Welfare or Penrith and Great Harwood Town also have home advantage against Northallerton Town of the Northern League.

However Chorley face a trip to UniBond colleagues Ossett Town and Mickey Graham's Rossendale United must go to Eccleshill United or Sheffield of the Northern Counties East League on Saturday, September 2.

Stanley are exempt to the second qualifying round when they will play either Durham City, Thackeley, Tow Law Town, St Helens Town or Newcastle Blue Star away from home on Saturday, September 30. In the FA Carlsberg Vase, Darwen have home advantage against Northern Counties East League side Louth United in the first qualifying round on Saturday, September 9 while Ramsbottom United must travel to Northern League outfit Evenwood Town and Bacup go to First North Western Trains League rivals Squires Gate.

Nelson start out in the second qualifying round with a trip to Liversedge on Saturday, September 23, as do Great Harwood Town who are at home to Armthorpe Welfare.

In the AXA FA Youth Cup, Clitheroe start out at home to Consett and Rossendale United entertain Workington.
