ENVIRONMENTAL projects in East Lancashire funded by Lancashire Waste Services (LWS) are celebrating today (July 6).
The LWS Lancashire Environment Fund supports a wide range of projects across the county from research and development into minimising waste and pollution to improving community facilities.
The fund celebrated its second year with a gathering at the County Hall, in Preston.
Project managers from many of the schemes that have been funded by LWS will be there.
Several representatives from the many environmental agencies in the area will also attend the event.
Nick Francis, director of the community recycling network will be giving a talk on the recycled products market.
