MIXED pair Ray Moulding and Eileen Peat beat all the veteran men's teams to take the veteran's prize in the two day long Saunders Mountain Marathon.
To qualify as veterans their combined ages had to exceed 80, in fact it exceeds 120.
Their remarkable victory came in the Wansfell Class where they finished 18th overall out of 99 pairs. Fellow Blackburn Road Runners Lynda Mason and Lisa Richardson placed 35th as 25 couples failed to finish.
