ANGLER John Leeds landed a superb bronze medal in the individual event of the Embassy Division One National Championship -- angling's number one event!
Leeds, a 33-year-old slaughterman from Langroyd Road, Colne, enjoyed the best result of his angling career with a bream, roach and perch haul scaling 8270kg. The competition took place on the Leeds and Liverpool canal from Halsall to Adlington.
"To finish third in such a big match is incredible, especially as it's only my third National Championship," said John, who pocketed £151.
