LEADING blind golfer Andrew Gilford took the chance to pick up some tips -- and vice versa -- from former Open champion Nick Faldo this week.
The Blackburn player, the country's lowest handicapped blind golfer with a mark of 13, was among a handful of top players selected for a special clinic for members of the English Blind Golf Association hosted by Faldo at Chart Hills Golf Club in Kent.
Faldo, patron of the EBGA, was passing on advice and technqiues to the players and their sighted caddies and demonstrating his chipping and putting while blind-folded.
He said: "I have always believed there should be no barriers in the game of golf.
"I am excited to be able to spend time with some of the EBGA members and I'm sure they will be able to teach me a thing or two."
Gilford, whose caddy is Clive Farley, finished second in the English Strokeplay Championship last week.
