MORECAMBE ace John McGuinness was on top form to claim first place in Sunday's 250cc motorcycle clash at Silverstone.
The 26 year old led from start to finish, edging out his closest championship rival Callum Ramsey by four seconds.
"I concentrated on my start and managed to go straight to the front. I kept an eye on my pit board and, as my lead increased, I settled into my own rhythm," explained McGuinness. The bike was perfect and all the hard work spent on the chassis this week paid off. I'm very happy with that."
McGuinness will take a even point lead into the second half of the British championship.
