Lancaster travel to Parkside Road and face their toughest away match of the season when they play league leaders Netherfield.

With ten games remaining, the Cumbrians are 19 points clear of current league champions Darwen.

Lancaster enjoyed the advantage throughout the game against Leyland DAF, but could only manage the seven points for a winning draw.

Leyland DAF captain David Makinson won the toss and put Lancaster into bat.

The decision misfired on him when David Heywood and Danny Hagan added 57 for the first wicket Hagan was caught by Alan Richardson off Seifton Prince for 25.

Heywood and Lancaster professional Gareth Breese took the score onto 94-2 before Breese was caught by Richardson off Makinson for 18.

David Makinson was the pick of the DAF bowling attack, as he took 6-65 from 23 overs.

Ironically, Phil Thornton departed at the same total, which left Morecambe 142-7.

Thornton was caught behind by Fawcett off Veenstra for 59.

One run later, Damien Gudgeon was LBW to Dugdale for one.

John Eccles and Farouk Patel added 21 runs for the ninth wicket, before Eccles was caught by Hunte off Dugdale for 18.
