HYNDBURN'S Lyndsay Parkinson will have to be on top form at the weekend when she competes in the England netball trials.

The 13-year-old Bury Grammar school pupil enjoyed success last weekend, firing her side to victory in the National Championships in Ipswich.

But now the goal shooter will be on her own as she takes part in the England Under 16 trials at Manchester.

And alongside her will be Hyndburn nebtall club players Gemma Rawsthorne, an under 14 and Laura Ward, an under 16, as they all hope to make an impression on the international scene. The rest of the Hyndburn Under 13 netball club girls are facing trials of a different kind -- competing for a place in the Lancashire side.

Kelly Howard, Becky Garner, Lisa Holt, all of Mount Carmel High School, will be joined by Our Lady and St John's pupil Michelle Taylor, Rhydding's Sarah Park and St Hilda's pupil Helen Thompson at Leyland Motors, Preston as they look to make an impression on the Lancashire squad.

The club are looking for sponsorship and anyone who can help can contact Anne Wignall on 01254 380903 or Audrey and Sue on 01254 53691.
