HAVING rolled over Sale Moor for just 35 the previous Sunday, Prestwich handed out more of the same treatment to Bury neighbours Woodbank last Saturday when they had the Kenyons outfit back in the pavilion for a mere 54.

It was the fifth time in the campaign that the Heys men had dismissed a side for under three figures.

With their batsmen in form having scored over 250 for four against Cheetham Hill in their previous game, Woodbank were obviously in confident mood when they won the toss and elected to bat but stand-in skipper Andy Bradley quickly had them on the backfoot when he claimed the prize scalp of professional Neil Ridehaugh caught by Chris Humphreys for a duck.

Keegan, who scored 149 not out the previous weekend, was also caught by Humphreys off young Andy Taylor and then Danny Varney and Billy Taylor combined to run out Neil Lonsdale.

Further wickets for Bradley and Taylor left the visitors in trouble although Coles was proving obdurate in a stay of almost two hours for his 20.

There was no respite, however, when the opening bowlers made way for Colin Higginson and Craig Duxbury with the former conceding a miserly three single in nine overs to return the very impressive figures of 9-6-3-3 whilst the pro took 2-7 to wrap things up with, amazingly, only four batsmen having troubled the scorers.

Although Prestwich lost Duxbury for 16, teenagers Carl Hey and David Fitzmaurice calmly saw the Heys Road side home by nine wickets.
