IN an article in the JOURNAL Town life can be deadly, it was claimed that Leigh was one of the worst places to live if you wanted to survive hospital treatment.
As this article was talking about Department of Health figures, I would challenge them, and claim that if GPs in the Leigh area stopped sending their patients to hospitals and clinics in Bolton NHS Trust they would live much longer.
The services offered by Wigan and Leigh NHS Trust are far superior, so somebody has got their sums wrong.
People in Leigh and surrounding areas take heart, things are not as bad as the article would have you believe.
Start worrying if your GP sends you to hospitals or clinics in Bolton NHS Trust.
