REVELLERS to this year's Leyland Festival will no doubt recall that the evening firework display was a complete washout!
After the rain poured down all day long, festival organisers had to call off their cracking Millennium Festival Firework display.
Now, with the sun finally making an appearance, organisers plan to hold the display free of charge, in Worden Park, Leyland, on Saturday, August 12.
The Party in the Park event will also include live music and other family entertainments and visitors are invited to bring a picnic and have a great evening out.
Festival committee chairman, John Bruck, said: "To all our festival supporters we say, forget how wet you were in June, just come along and Party in the Park!"
