PRESCOT Cables first pre-season friendly ended in disaster for new boy Franny Hill.
The summer signing from neighbours St Helens Town's Town suffered a suspected broken leg against Leigh RMI at Hope Street.
The match was held up for 25 until an ambulance arrived. Leigh went on to record a 2-0 success. But Prescot acquitted themselves well, hitting the woodwork through Lee Riley and Anthony Hayes.
A Cables spokesman commented: All at the club wish Franny all the best for a speedy recovery."
