IN last Saturday's Manchester Association local derby both Bury and Brooksbottoms were desperate to win.
Brox elected to bat first and set off confidently reaching 60 without loss until debutant Bilal made the breakthrough.
Wickets fell steadily from then on with Bilal taking three wickets, Nasir taking four and Dave Leach two until Brooksbottoms closed on 141.
Bury also began well ith Brawn (36) and Stone (46) taking the score to 94.
However there was something of a mini-collapse and at 115 for 6 both sedes fanced their chances but Leach saw Bury home with an unbeaten 29 to give the Sports Club side a welcome 20 points.
