YOU can't escape Davina McCall at the moment -- not even on the streets of Blackpool.

She's telling us Don't Try This At Home, selling us M&Ms and you can't miss her if you're one of the millions who just cannot switch off Big Brother.

And now she has been running around town trying to be a match-maker for another of her myriad of TV shows, Streetmate.

Craig Needham, pictured, assistant manager at a town centre clothes store, thought it was his lucky day when Davina spotted him across a crowded store -- but luck wasn't on his side.

"She was actually looking at the football store next door," said Craig, who works in Nigel Holmes men's fashion store.

"I am a really big fan of hers, so for her to pick me out from across a crowded shop is fantastic.

"She is even more stunning in real life than she is on the telly, but she is quite small, only about 5ft 6ins.

"She is exactly the same on screen as she is off screen -- really bubbly. And I'll tell you what, she doesn't look 32 in real life." The show's format is simple yet irresistible as Davina tears around the streets with a single person in tow looking for a perfect match.

When put together the pair have a matter of minutes to get to know each another before nipping off home to get ready for a dinner for two paid for by the show.

"They took me off to one side and started asking me loads of personal questions, such as are you single or not?" said Craig of what happened when he was picked out by Davina.

"And then they asked 'What sort of girls do you go for?' and of course I said to Davina 'I love brunettes like you' at which she laughed.

"But of course she's married now, so there's no chance. Unfortunately I wasn't picked though, which is a shame as I am single at the moment."

Viewers will be able to see Craig's performance later this year on Channel Four.
