BURY'S latest jobless figures have bucked the national trend by showing an increase.
Statistics for July disclose the claimant count number throughout the borough was 2,101, an increase of 69 over the previous month.
The latest figures embrace 1,569 males and 532 females. Bury's unemployment rate now stands at 2.9 per cent, up from July's 2.8 per cent.
