DESPITE several regulars missing through holiday commitments, Royals progressed to the final of the Fred Hilton Trophy at Leigh Miners this Saturday, kick off 1.30pm, with an outstanding performance against the North West Counties cup holders.
Led by Paul Clough and prompted by Ste Bannister they tackled like terriers and scored seven terrific tries through man of the match Paddy Flynn (2), outstanding Chris Brown (2), Kurt Haggerty, Paul Johnson and Clough with Bannister landing three goals.
Dean McGilvray and Chris Donnelly were other stand out performers.
