IN a recent article in the local press, the illustrious George Bancroft described two of the world's top artistes, Tom Jones and Bob Hope, as ageing geriatrics eking out their pensions in Las Vegas and then saying Blackpool is a superior venue.
How can anyone have faith in a person who comes out with such ludicrous statements?
He has shown his true colours in his involvement with care home closures and, as such, should do the honourable thing and stand down.
What makes it worse, they knew before the local elections. That in itself is criminal. They wouldn't get away with it in Las Vegas.
