FIREFIGHTERS and police were left baffled when they were called to investigate two mystery explosions in Atherton.
Worried residents who live close to the site of the old bus depot on Leigh Road, Howe Bridge, called the emergency services after they heard the loud bangs at 10pm and 12 midnight on Tuesday.
Despite carrying out investigations, neither the police nor the fire service could find the cause.
