IT'S the last of the summer festivals in Morecambe with Altar Native bringing the best in roots and folk to Morecambe.

The line up includes Tryckster and Altar Native, Cumbrian folk rock bands, and Salsa Celtica, Scottish innovators who have done the seemingly impossible in blending together traditional Scottish folk with Latin salsa.

The Soca Survivors are a soca, calypso, reggae group and The Four Brothers, a jit jive band rated by indie DJ, John Peel, as one of the very best.

One of the organisers, Andrew Lennie, said: "Altar Native brings to Morecambe some of the most innovative and respected bands in the country. And, to cap it off, in the Four Brothers, we have one of the most highly rated alternative bands in the world."

Debbie Lowis added: "You won't need a folkie or alternative music fan to enjoy the event.

The bands play great music that everyone can dance to."

Also, check out local bands during the day.

On Saturday night it's Tryckster and Salsa Celtica topping the bill with Soca Survivors and The Four Brothers finishing things off on Sunday.
