AN arts programme in East Lancashire has secured £8,000 in Lottery cash to develop arts events and activities for young people.
The Youth Arts 2000 project is one of ten schemes to receive funding from the North West Arts Board through its Regional Arts Lottery Programme.
In the first round of the scheme, Youth Arts 2000 was one of only three awards in Lancashire.
Young people from across six boroughs will benefit and between October 13 and 22 a wide range of activities will be organised aimed at encouraging young people between 11 and 25 to get involved. Further details from 01282 437840.
