THANK you for printing my letter 'Forgotten Heroes' (Dear Star, September 7).
However, there was a slight mistake that I would be grateful if you would correct re: the Crow's Nest. It was not a 'hut', it was open like a bird's nest and called the Nest for short.
The Nest was high up the ship's mast and had to be reached by a ladder attached to the mast with only enough room for a seaman doing his watch there.
